About Me

I began training in 1984 in a method called Shunryu Kempo Karate; today I still continue to train with the same burning passion that has made me devote so much of my life to the arts. In March 2000 I opened my first Club at Bassingbourn Junior School where it thrived until we moved the Club to the Senior School where the Academy continued to enjoy great success attracting 40+ students ranging from 8 Years to 50 Years Old.

In 2007 I closed the club in Bassingbourn on moving to Sawtry. In latter part of 2009 I decided to relaunch the Academy website and set up a new club in Sawtry.

Over the years I have trained with many of the Worlds top instructors in Traditional and Modern Martial Arts as well as having a good grounding in reality based protection systems.

"Kenpo is an inseparable union of mind and body expressed through the individual nuances of each and every devotee. The basic movements pave the way for more complex but deadly moves flowing from one to another never stopping but to pause. Adjusting the body’s direction and speed utilising intermittent power during and after employment of major and minor techniques. It is pliable in its application so that action blends with reaction to deal with situations as they arrive or even before, it procures the intuitive nature that we all posses. Kenpo is an understanding of life"
