Emily joined the Academy and the Sawtry Club in April 2010 expressing the wish to return to the martial arts. Having studied Shotokan and Wado Ryu Karate - Emily's core arts have enabled her to understand the basic concepts taught at the Academy. 

Having studied under Adam J. Merton both personally and at the public classes Emily's skills continue to improve at a functional level. Emily continues to train with the goal to eventually become a 'Junior Instructor'.
